Lost explores our relationship to the environment looking particularly at how i-generation children are losing their connection with nature. It comprises large format, paper-negative, contact prints of apocolyptic landscapes where I grew up, juxtaposed with portraits of my children - who are growing up in the same rural environment but in a very different cultural landscape.
It is a social document in a time when i-generation children are feared to be suffering from ‘nature deficit disorder’, and a personal one about my children’s lived experience and how it compares to my own.

Trading Places started life as a collaborative project between myself and a Chinese photographer looking at local tradespeople in our home towns.
