Keep Out!
In response to an influx of travellers locally in 2017, when a number of public spaces were taken over as temporary camps by members of the Irish Travelling Community attending a funeral in the area, landowners erected makeshift blockades at field gates with fallen trees. Designed to prevent unwanted visitors setting up home on their land, these these defences have endured and become a feature of rural life.
