Keep Out!
In response to an influx of travellers locally in 2017, when a number of public spaces were taken over as temporary camps by members of the Irish Travelling Community attending a funeral in the area, landowners erected makeshift blockades at field gates. Designed to prevent unwanted visitors setting up home on their land, these these defences have endured and become a feature of rural life.
